This one has been on our “want to read” list for a while now, so we were stoked to see the sale pop up. Don’t you just love these covers??? The reviews are excellent, the sample made us want more, and now the prices are fantastic! At just $0.99 for the first book, $1.99 for book two, and $0.99 for the last, our bookaholic natures just can’t resist!

We always scan reviews and read a bit before we recommend anything, and the reviews on this one are fascinating. We love the premise, but some people seem upset that the protagonist is 13. They think the book should be listed as YA for that reason alone. What do you think? Does a young protagonist automatically make a book into a YA read? Or is it possible for an adult title to have an adolescent MC? Have you ever read a YA book that should have been in the adult section? Or an adult book that should have been listed as YA?

Coming back from Dragoncon is a bummer every year, but at least we have some great sci-fi and fantasy titles to share with you! The sheer amount of information about Battlestar Galactica (BSG) contained in this one volume is unreal. There are soooooo many interview snippets, covering everything from the show’s TV movie beginnings, to the behind-the-scenes budget problems, to the way the ships were built and filmed, to the chimps in the daggit suit. And *then* it covers everything about the reboot, which I loved just as much.
